Pingree Grove is located in Kane County, Illinois, about 50 miles northwest of Chicago. Incorporated in 1907, Pingree Grove is the fastest growing community in Illinois with a population over 2,000. Expressed in terms of total number of people moving to our community, Pingree Grove competes with the much larger communities of Chicago, Naperville, Champaign, and Elgin. Pingree Grove thrives on a sense of community and offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunites for both active and laid-back lifestyles. The Village provides several parks, and active recreational areas including skate park, baseball and soccer fields, and various playgrounds throughout the community. Over eight miles of bike and pedestrian trails wind throughout the neighborhoods. An offering of youth activities are also available in coordination with the Hampshire Park District. The Village is home to a variety of native and migrating birds, with sightings within our parks, local ponds, or even in your own backyard! Hawks, Sand Cranes, Bald Eagles, and a recent migration of Bufflehead ducks, and a protective turtle species.
