Haeger Pottery: The History & Legacy, From Dundee Brickyard to American Icon

Wednesday, April 8, 2026 (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Featured Speakers: Lexy Haeger Estes and Philip A. Aleo Discover the rich legacy of Haeger Pottery, a hometown story that shaped both the Dundee community and American design. This amazing history is brought to life by Lexy Haeger Estes, great-granddaughter of the founder, and the acclaimed Chicago author Philip A. Aleo. Founded along the Fox River in 1871 as Dundee Brickyard, it helped rebuild Chicago after the Great Chicago Fire and evolved into a nationally celebrated art pottery manufacturer in 1914. From elegant teaware to iconic “Royal Haeger” pieces, its designs became staples in homes across the country. For more than 145 years, Haeger remained a proud Dundee landmark and a lasting symbol of American craftsmanship. Following the presentation join us for a complimentary lunch and guided community tour highlighting our Haeger Pottery collection. RSVPs Kindly Requested By Thursday, April 2.
