Managing Difficult Behavior with Dementia

Managing Difficult Behavior with Dementia

Wednesday, October 23, 2024 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people living with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings, as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors present challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us as we welcome Danielle Hellios, Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Northwest Neurology, as she helps us learn more about behavioral messages, how to identify common behavioral triggers, and strategies for intervening with some of the most common challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. Seating for this presentation is limited, so be sure to RSVP by calling 224-802-4388 or email contacts@woodlandswd.com!
