About Summertime Day Camp Cub Scout Summertime Day Camp is an adventure designed just for boys and girls in 1st to 5th grade (and beyond as a volunteer!), filled with hands-on fun, outdoor exploration, and unforgettable summer memories. This year’s DINO-MITE! theme takes intrepid adventurers on a prehistoric journey where they explore, experiment, and discover in a safe, supportive environment led by trained staff and volunteers. Day campers enjoy a wide variety of activities, including archery and BB shooting to build focus and confidence, nature and outdoor skills through hands-on exploration, and STEM activities featuring creative experiments and problem-solving inspired by dinosaurs and fossils. The climbing wall challenges Scouts to reach new heights while developing perseverance, and games, crafts, and group activities provide time to play, create, and make new friends. Summertime Day Camp is offered at Von Oven, Maple Park, and Good Templar Park, each providing a unique outdoor setting while delivering a DINO-MITE experience packed with adventure, learning, and classic outdoor fun and games.
